History and features of  Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo

Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo is produced with the Montepulciano grape variety and is one of the most appreciated roses in Italy. This wine has some antioxidant substances that have made it the longest time in Italy. It is a DOC wine that can be produced in the provinces of Chieti, L’Aquila, Pescara and Teramo. It has a bright cherry pink color and its peculiarity is the acidic note (it is between 5.5 and 6 g / l) with a good alcoholicity level. It has a very elegant aroma with notes of fresh red fruit and a slight floral note. Its taste is pleasant, permanent and fresh. Cerasuolo owes its characteristics not only to the wine that it shares with Montepulciano, but above all to the vinification technique used with a period of fermentation that occurs in the presence of the skins, or by “vinegar” vinification to obtain its color rosé.
